Katie began dancing at a very young age in studios, continuing development through country competition and finally landing in West Coast Swing. In 2008, she won her first major competition with Pro Matt Auclair at Dallas Dance, followed by 2 national amateur titles in 2009. Katie rose to the competitive All-Star level and has since purchased the Meet Me in St. Louis Swing Dance Championships.
